I’ve been saying for years that a college “education” today is nothing more than job training. This guy basically says the same thing in 1987:
“Those of us who can look back to the humble stations of our parents or grandparents, who never saw the inside of an institution of higher learning, can have cause for self-congratulation. But—inevitably but—the impression that our general populace is better educated depends on an ambiguity in the meaning of the word education, or a fudging of the distinction between liberal and technical education. A highly trained computer specialist need not have had any more learning about morals, politics or religion than the most ignorant of persons. All to the contrary, his narrow education, with the prejudices and the pride accompanying it, and its literature which comes to be and passes away in a day and uncritically accepts the premises of current wisdom, can cut him off from the liberal learning that simpler folk used to absorb from a variety of traditional sources. It is not evident to me that someone whose regular reading consists of Time, Playboy, and Scientific American has any profounder wisdom about the world than the rural schoolboy of yore with his McGuffey’s reader.”

The teacher then asked Brian if he’d oppressed anybody that day.
The kid said No.
Sam posed a potent Gotcha:
“You’re breathing. Have you left your house today?”
Academia for the win:
If that’s all it takes… if it’s that easy to oppress you… you deserve it!

The East Side Community School in New York City teaches that there are eight ways to go about being white. The least awful is to be a white abolitionist. This is accomplished by:
Changing institutions, dismantling whiteness, and not allowing whiteness to reassert itself
This is from a “tool for action” the principal sent to the parents of white students at this public high school:
SCOOP: The principal of East Side Community School in New York sent white parents this “tool for action,” which tells them they must become “white traitors” and then advocate for full “white abolition.”

If this is what they send to the parents, imagine what they are teaching the kids.
Bear in mind that in the NYY region, whites are already a minority.
An entire generation is getting brainwashed to hate white people. Letting liberals control schools is not going to end well.
With Biden’s handlers in power, government employees are to be subjected to similar propaganda.
The last time we saw this level of race hatred as a fundamental component of a ruling oligarchy’s ideology, the result was the Holocaust.

Daniel Greenfield explains at Front Page: Identity politics was born out of an effort by leftist activists to identify and mobilize potential supporters by breaking down a sense of national solidarity along the lines of group victimhood…
Public schools are now dedicated to teaching children to hate Christianity, to hate their parents, to hate capitalism — to hate America — and a crucial part of this curriculum is systematic indoctrination about race, gender and sexuality: White heterosexual males are evil!
Having been taught (at taxpayer expense) that their lives are worthless, young white males internalize a suicidal sense of self-hatred, and then everyone acts surprised when some pathetic young loser decides that it would be cool to end his life with a mass-murder rampage.
Democrats and other left-leaning groups actually promote mental illness in schools. Listen to their beliefs and teachings and tell me it’s inspiring and uplifting. No. It’s all negative.

It’s a strange irony that, in the age of the Internet, which was supposed to encourage more transparency and debate, the open exchange of ideas is under threat. This was pointed out by another famous science fiction writer, Michael Crichton. “In the information society,” says Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park, “No one thinks. We expected to banish paper, but we actually banished thought.”

“Not all irreproducible research is progressive advocacy; not all progressive advocacy is irreproducible; but the intersection between the two is very large. The intersection between the two is a map of much that is wrong with modern science,” the report states.
More crap from the ‘educated’ amongst us.

“You know, I think it’s really important that we understand that we need to invest in our economy, but we need to invest in our people, and to give away $3 billion to a company that has a history of worker exploitation that’s paying below what the cost of New York City is not acceptable for us.”
Of course, New York wasn’t going to “give” Amazon anything, let alone $3 billion. The $3 billion is an estimate of foregone tax revenues. In other words, money that Amazon won’t pay New York, not money that New York will pay Amazon. This is childishly simple, but apparently too much for AOC:
My guess is that she is a beneficiary of ‘affirmative action’. That’s the only explanation why somebody this ignorant can claim a degree in ECONOMICS!

Gender studies is not about trying to understand the world, but is all about trying to change it in certain ways. It doesn’t seek to convey a body of knowledge, but just a set of grievances.
So the answer is ‘no.’ The U.S. needs to follow Hungary in banning such programs in colleges and unversities.

I like her deployment of the Spoiled We. Not the Royal We, the Spoiled We. Because when she says we could “feed the Natives,” she means “someone else, definitely not me, could feed the Natives.”

Let’s face it. What is taught in schools — K-12 through college — is not education. It’s job training. And not very good job training at that!
