White identity, well, that’s the worst and that’s why these lectures against identity politics never happen in front of non-whites. David French does not spend his days going to colleges demanding they junk their black studies departments. The boys at various Koch Brothers rackets are not going to the grievance studies departments, holding seminars on the dangers of identity politics. Instead, rants against identity politics are only aimed at white audiences, because white identity is what they fear.

Hmmm. Interesting take on the subject. The way identity politics is played means they should fear white identity. They are creating it!

Robert A. Heinlein: A Writer as Big as America

No, Heinlein didn’t preach. What he did was be an American. Be an American so intensely that it was impossible for his work not to transmit it. The internal logic of the stories themselves led you to believe and think like an American.

I think that’s why the left hates him so much. At least that’s the only reason I can imagine that a writer who went out of his way to have minorities and women in starring roles in his books can be considered “racist, sexist, homophobic.” (Well that, and the fact that the left has heads full of rocks.)

In these days when the Betsy Ross flag is being transmogrified by leftist hate and intolerance into a “White Supremacy Symbol” (I ordered one for my yard, btw.) it’s impossible not to realize that what the left is trying to do is cut us off from our own history, our own symbols, and that which makes us uniquely American.

Too Many People Want to Travel

Through the early 19th century, travel for personal fulfillment was the provenance of “wealthy nobles and educated professionals” only, people for whom it was a “demonstrative expression of their social class, which communicated power, status, money and leisure,” as one history of tourism notes.

The whole point of this Atlantic article is that travel needs to be kept only for ‘wealthy’ and ‘educated’ people like the authoress Annie Lowrey. Too many of us commoners crowding them out.

Near Death, Seeing Dead People May Be Neither Rare Nor Eerie

The left’s descent into the abyss of odium

We are in fact a divided nation, the mature and immature, the civil and uncivil, the decent and the indecent.  We are divided between those who love this country and those who hate it.  Our leftists are Marxist globalists who want to see America destroyed or at least transformed from the inside, as Khrushchev predicted fifty years ago that it would be.  The Marxists have won in academe.  They have won over the Democratic Party completely.  Pelosi, Schumer, et al. are on board with flooding the U.S. with illiterate migrants, numbers of them criminals, to satisfy their anti-American ideology.  They and their agenda should be shunned by all Americans with a modicum of common sense.

This has held up well!

Crazy People Are Dangerous

See, if you advocate locking up teenage dopeheads as juvenile delinquents, you’re racist or something. If you advocate locking up these maladjusted weirdos in psychiatric wards, you’re stigmatizing mental illness. Disapproving of sexual perversion makes you guilty of transphobia. Instead, now everyone is required to celebrate diversity and inclusion, which means keeping the drug-addled misfits in public high school and interpreting their unpopularity as “bullying,” because how dare your normal teenager not want to hang out with a couple of losers like this? And then one day, the freaks decide it would be really cool to shoot up the school more or less randomly. which then becomes an argument for (a) gun control and (b) more “anti-bullying” policies to protect deranged misfits from social disapproval.

The So-Called Equality Act: Making Some Americans More Equal than Others

Every totalitarian system has used the tactic of coercing people to affirm the regime’s agenda, even when they disagree.  Forcing people to mouth politically correct dogmas that they know are false is designed to break their spirit and their resistance.  Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn said the worst aspect of Communist totalitarianism was not the economic poverty or the lack of political rights; it was being forced to repeat the regime’s lies: “The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie.”

There is no evil that Democrats won’t support and force upon us.
