And for the people in the media who don’t understand the Constitution (that would be almost everyone), let me explain: As long as Trump doesn’t pass laws shutting down the media, or engage in acts that deprive reporters of their civil rights, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with him treating the American media with the contempt it deserves.

This is what you call an “opinion.” Since it’s coming from the soon to be POTUS, it obviously holds a bit more weight, by (sic), it’s an opinion. I personally disagree with it, holding the opinion that you should be allowed to burn the flag, and, if so, someone should be allowed to punch you in the face once without facing assault charges.

This is why Trump took them by such surprise. They were dealing with a country they had never seen. And didn’t like. Lord only knows what kind of President Trump will make (unless God also is wondering, which I find plausible) but he had the country figured out. Which is positively weird, given that he is a filthy rich New Yorker.

Interestingly, the same writer who credited Trump with efficient spending later snarked it up with a headline that supposedly captured the amateurism of the Trump campaign. In the October 25 Washington Post, Philip Bump wrote a story titled “Donald Trump’s campaign has spent more on hats than on polling.” The idea was clearly to mock the candidate for the frivolity of his ubiquitous “Make America Great Again” baseball caps, whose production was starving the poor pollsters. Given how badly the public pollsters performed in forecasting this election, one could easily conclude that Trump’s only mistake is he should have made more hats.

I am an American who happens to be black. It is absurd and outrageous that wealthy black pro athletes and celebs are running around claiming that America is a hellhole of racism against them. Meanwhile, I caught an ad on TV for yet another major movie release featuring black actor Samuel L. Jackson. It is becoming increasingly challenging to name a blockbuster movie that has not featured Mr. Jackson. And yet, Mr. Jackson is extremely outspoken, spreading the narrative that Americans are racists. Blacks are only 12% of the U.S. population. Therefore, white Americans have made Mr. Jackson and America-hating black pro athletes extremely wealthy.
